Train Sim Network Forum Rules (TSNFR)
General
All new members must post in the Introductions thread before posting anywhere else in the forum.
1. Users may only register for 1 user name, should you have problems logging on then please contact site admin by e-mail: train.sim.network@googlemail.com
If you wish to have your username changed, please contact any member of the TSN Team.
2. Please try a search before posting a question and take note of any sticky threads.
3. Users may not attempt to hack, damage, and destroy or otherwise misuse the forum.
4. No “back seat moderation” please, use the report post function (the pink triangle with the '!' inside).
5. Posting within this forum is deemed to be acceptance of the rules.
6. We reserve the right to modify and/or delete posts, avatars or signatures.
7. We reserve the right to change the rules at any time.
8. If a user is caught trying to circumvent a temporary ban, that ban will then become permanent and their ISP notified of their behaviour.
Avatars and signatures
9. Avatars and signatures must comply with the forum rules.
10. Avatars may be any size from 20 by 20 pixels up to 125 by 125 and must be no bigger than 15kb.
11. Signatures may be no more than 550 pixels wide, but can be any reasonable height.
Posting
12. Users must not make any posts which contain or contain links to the following:
- Foul or abusive language, word that are deemed to be discriminatory or hateful or are pornographic in nature.
- Any posts that contain potentially libellous/slanderous content will be deleted immediately with a PM sent to the poster and further action taken if neccessary.
13. Users must treat each other with respect. Flaming and/or trolling is not allowed.
14. Users must respect the copyright of other individuals and organisations.
15. User must always post in Standard English language, no text abbreviations or shorthand, etc.
16. Users must also keep their posts tidy, with the correct use of spelling and grammar and presentation. Users that posts are persistently untidy will be subject to any of the disciplinary actions below.
17. User must not use excessive punctuation or capital letters.
18. Please try and post in the appropriate area of the forum, we reserve the right to move posts.
19. Users must not repost the content of locked or deleted posts.
20. User must not post new threads asking about locked and/or deleted posts or any users that may have been disciplined.
21. Users may not post spam or make posts that contain advertisements.
22. Users should not post in older threads if they have nothing new or constructive to say.
Users who breach the rules may be subject to the following:
· A polite request to follow forum rules in the future
· A formal warning
· Placed on Moderation i.e. all posts will be check by site admin before posting
· A temporary or permanent ban from the forum
Please note: Gaining more than 1 formal warning will lead to the user being placed on moderation or a ban from the forums.
